What You Should Know About Care After Breast Implants?

• Don’t raise your arms unnecessarily above the breast level until and unless your surgeon advices you. The abrupt movement of arms can be harmful for implants and can cause their misplacement.
• Avoid lifting or pushing heavy objects. Stay away for any activity that demands your maximum energy and extreme physical movement. You must keep it as your regular instruction for at least 5 to 7 days.
• Ask for an appropriate sleeping position with your surgeon. It is recommended to sleep at your back with elevation of your upper body. It is advised mainly to avoid swelling in the body and giving maximum comfort to you.
• Avoid driving until you are cleared by your surgeon to do so.

There are also certain care instructions that are advised as best options for care at home:

• To relieve any sort of discomfort and pain, you can place an ice pack on your treated area for at least 20 minutes. It is also a best way to avoid the swelling.
• You will be given a special bra to wear as a support. You will be directed how to wear it by your surgeon before the discharge. You should wear it 24hours except for shower.
